Tim Bergling Foundation enters into a partnership with UNICEF Sweden to strengthen young people’s mental health in Ukraine

Tim Bergling Foundation has entered into a partnership with UNICEF Sweden to strengthen young people’s mental health in Ukraine through music studios and creative expression. Through the collaboration, the foundation provides financial support and engages in knowledge exchange with UNICEF’s Kontenta project.

Kontenta is an initiative that gives young people in Ukraine the opportunity to express themselves through music, film, and digital creation. Through mobile and stationary studios, young people are given free access to equipment, training, and community, as well as safe spaces where creativity can become a way to process experiences and find connection.

In a daily life marked by war and uncertainty, such spaces can play a crucial role in strengthening young people’s mental well-being, sense of belonging, and hope for the future. The collaboration is grounded in the belief that young people need safe spaces where their voices can be heard.

In addition to financial support, the partnership includes an ambition to share experience and knowledge from Tim Bergling Foundation’s work with music studios in Sweden, Studios For A Better Day. The knowledge exchange focuses on how creative and safe environments can be used to promote young people’s mental health.

“When the world is shaken, we adults must stand firm and create places where young people can grow and feel safe. Through Kontenta and our partnership with Tim Bergling Foundation, we are setting a direction where creativity becomes a force for community, healing, and hope for a brighter future,” says Pernilla Baralt, Secretary General of UNICEF Sweden.

For Tim Bergling Foundation, the collaboration marks a first step in an international engagement.

“At Tim Bergling Foundation, we believe in the power of music and creative expression as a way to promote young people’s mental health. Together with UNICEF, we can contribute to safe environments where young people are given the opportunity to express themselves, find community, and build hope for the future,” says Henrik Szabo, Managing Director of Tim Bergling Foundation.
